Speculations are going through that Microsoft may still be interested in Yahoo. A firestorm of speculation that a pile between the two companies may be in the works is cited as a main factor for yahoo’s 13 per cent jump in stock price on Thursday.
Microsoft’s PR department responded to the reports, however. Shortly after the report surfaced, the company sent out a statement through its press release channels. Microsoft’s view hasn’t changed they’re not interested in acquiring Yahoo; there are no discussions between the companies.
The gossips, all the same, have already yielded memories of the public acquirement saga between the two companies earlier this year. When Microsoft walked away from the table and its $33 per-share offer as Yahoo gave word of an advertising deal with Google which the company contended would eventually raise its value above that which Microsoft had offered, the deal ended.

The Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II become the latest high-profile YouTube contributor, she posted a 1969 reception for British Olympians, the first such clip to be posted by a British monarch.
The clip turned to be the Monarchy’s official YouTube channel, which was launched in late 2007 with a Christmas message from the Queen.
In 1976, the Queen became one of the first people in the UK to send an email during a visit to an army base and she later personally recognized Tim Berners-Lee for his contributions to the country. Those actions displayed her willingness to embrace the technology of internet.
Aside from that, both the Queen and Prince Philip have been said to use e-mail regularly to keep in touch with their grandchildren, and earlier this year reports surfaced that the Queen was becoming an avid player of the computer game, Nintendo Wii.

Warning for both users and administrators are being spread out upon the uncovering of a new range of Facebook malware. It circulates through a malicious worm application which hijacks Facebook information. The user is sent a message from an infected friend which promises a link to a YouTube video.
Then the victim is guided to a third-party site which scans the user’s OS. Users running Windows are forwarded to the attack page while users running other OS are sent to the actual YouTube front page.
Once there, users are motivated to download an updated version of Flash which is needed to view the file. The installer, however, delivers the malware payload in what is known as a “fake codec” attack.
Upon infection, the malware installs and launches a new copy of the worm, scans the user’s Facebook system cookies and uses the information to send new attack messages to the victim’s friend list.

A site promoting a product called ‘MacGuard.’ offers both spyware and antivirus securities and the ability to remove adware and barred phishing attacks on OS X systems.
Users are recommended to stay watchful though no downloadable software was found on the site. Behind this, are distributors of ‘Antivirus XP 2008′ and ‘XP Antivirus’, a pair of Windows cheat security applications classified as “really horrific.”
These applications were acknowledged for installing themselves without permission and send the user fake alert messages designed to scare victims into paying for non-existent security protections.
The truth is, MacGuard application is a cheat security attack, it will mark another incident in a small but growing crop of new Mac malware releases. Mac malware samples have emerged last year, starting with a ‘fake codec’ attack in November and continuing with a fake security scam in January and pair of data-stealing Trojans found this summer.

Before uploading my pictures to Friendster, Myspace, Blog and other networking sites, I would need a little help from PhotoShop in resizing or editing my pictures. I’m a self-confessed camwhore person and everytime that I have my phone with me and there’s something I want to capture, I just take a shot from my phone and that’s it. Having a PhotoShop Mobile is a really great fun for me. I don’t have to open my desktop computer or laptop just to edit my computer because my phone can do the work. This idea is really convenient for me. But of course, we have to expect that there good and bad sides of it. There’s no resizing, clone stamping, hue adjustment, or anything like that. Supported Mobile devices include the Moto Q9h, Palm Treo 750w, and Samsung BlackJack. At least we can experience this new Mobile feature and see what this is all about.

O2 released a simple looking smart phone the xphone II that claims to be the slimmest phone in the world . this one can be compared to Sony ericssons T610. With its slim and soft design, it has two soft keys for easy navigation and a joystick in the center. Although this is an O2 phone, doesn’t bring many features into hand. However, it has the capacity however of tri-band support; substantial memory (32MB SDRAM, 64MB ROM) to store loads of contacts, documents, and messages; and a miniSD slot to boost storage capacity.
The phone is 26 per cent slimmer and 22 percent lighter than its predecessor, measuring 44.5 x 107.5 x 18mm and weighing in at 102g. It looks a lot more better than the preceding original Xphone. It also has an operating system of the second edition of Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 2003 Smart phone operating system and with this OS, it allows you to send e-mail, access the Web, listen to MP3 files, take photos and capture videos in just easy and simple looking smart phone.
